In the development of children, there are time windows, called "sensitive phases"
in Montessori education, in which children can acquire certain skills or
competences particularly easily.
The consideration of such time windows is very significant in the learning process of pupils. The pupil is then sensitive to learning processes and certain environmental influences, e.g. movement.
